Sayari Camp Serengeti
There’s nothing quite like the thunderous spectacle of millions of hooves pounding the earth as vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles follow the rains in their epic quest for survival. The award-winning Sayari Camp, celebrated for its up-close views of the Great Migration, is set to relaunch in mid-2020 with a fresh design and a host of exciting new features.
Consistently ranked among the top safari destinations, Sayari provides an exceptional guiding experience in this stunning wildlife haven. The camp’s recent enhancements include a luxurious library and information center with a rich cultural focus on the vibrant Kuria tribe, native to the northern Serengeti. Other new features include the impressive Asilia Spa, offering a variety of treatments, and an innovative solar-powered microbrewery—the first of its kind in the wilderness—producing four unique beers, as well as soft drinks, purified water, and sparkling water for guests to savor. Renowned for its outstanding style, Sayari offers comfortable hillside suites, a pool nestled among natural rock formations, and breathtaking views of the untouched Serengeti plains.
Sayari’s refreshed design takes inspiration from the vibrant culture of the Kuria tribe, native to the northern Serengeti. Each of the 15 spacious tents offers sweeping views of the Serengeti’s rolling plains. Inside, a rich copper-toned palette harmonizes with the patterns of the rocks scattered across the landscape. In tribute to another local tribe, the Maasai, the cushions are adorned with intricate, traditional beadwork.
Each generously sized suite features a king-size bed (or twin beds upon request) dressed in fine linens, with safari-chic decor providing a stylish contrast to the untamed wilderness outside the canvas walls.
Expansive decks encircle each tent, offering uninterrupted views of the Serengeti, while the bathrooms also provide stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.
An oversized freestanding bathtub, along with indoor and outdoor showers, allows guests to enjoy the breathtaking Serengeti scenery while indulging in a relaxing soak or a rejuvenating shower.
